Chicago Bears Draft Scout: Dorance Armstrong
Pro Comparison: Trent Murphy
Murphy wins with his length and physical traits to push off of the line and free up the ability to get to the passer. He does not have the consistency in rush moves to be a 10 sack player, and comes in for rotational pass rushing attempts but in that role, he has the ability to make an impact with the upside to bring more than that to the table.

Fit for Chicago Bears
Armstrong would be a strong scheme fit for the Chicago Bears. The team is not going to build this unit up over night. They are going to have to use a rotation. In that scenario, it would make a lot of sense to take a chance on the upside in Armstrong.
He can provide snaps early into his career, and if he is not making an impact, he is not heavily relied on. Still, his upside is much higher than Lamarr Houston. Given the bare cupboard of the Bears when it comes to their pass rushers at this point additions of any kind would be welcomed. A high upside bet on Dorance Armstrong later into the draft may not be a bad proposition.
