Pro Comparison- Akeem Ayers

Ayers is a seasoned veteran who excels in the running game, which consistently gets him on the field. That is what the floor is going to be with Josh Sweat. If a team can bring him up to speed and get him that step off of the ball, he would truly have the chance to be one of the premier pass rushers in the NFL. If not, they have a rotational defenders who can set the edge and play on early downs if needed.

Fit for Chicago Bears

Sweat could fill into the Pernell McPhee role. McPhee brought a similar skill set and is at a bigger size. With Leonard Floyd, and his athleticism and ability to play off of the ball, having the stronger run defender opposite of him seems like it could be a good fit. In the middle rounds, Josh Sweat is a player that the Chicago Bears could certainly have their eyes on if they go with another position early.
