Equanimous St. Brown is a wide receiver out of Notre Dame. The Chicago Bears are still looking to fill their wide receiver core, is Equanimous St. Brown the playmaker the Bears are looking for in the draft?

Equanimous St. Brown was a two-year starter with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. St. Brown caught 92 balls for 1484 yards and 13 touchdowns. His best year came in 2016 with DeShone Kizer as the quarterback. Brown had 58 catches for 961 yards and nine touchdowns. The talent is there, along with the measurables. Brown is projected to be a third to fourth-round pick and should be a target for the Chicago Bears.

Measurables

Age: 22
School: Notre Dame

Strengths

Equanimous St. Brown has the measurables on paper. He is a talented wide receiver.

Brown has the speed to run past defenders as he does on a simple drag route below.

Brown ran a 4.48 40 yard dash at the NFL combine.

Weaknesses

Equanimous St. Brown struggled with consistency, physicality, route running and release. His production dropped mainly because of the spotty quarterback play but that doesn’t excuse his poor performances. Brown has trouble with physical corners, even though he is a bigger receiver. He doesn’t consistently get open or run clean routes which are the reasons for his third round or lower prediction by experts.
