They love it. They all love the selection. Overall, it is tough to find a review from any person in the know that is down on this move. Smith is a generally accepted player. We all saw the Rose Bowl. We all saw the National Championship. It is not hard to understand what Roquan Smith brings. He had been doing it for his entire career and was a Butkus award winner.
Roquan Smith wins with speed and instincts. He is a fluent mover and sniffs out the run and the pass with quick, decisive movements. He is as sure of a tackler in the draft, and many had Roquan Smith as one of three top overall prospects in the class.
This is a great win for Bears nation. They are finally the team taking ready to win athletes who can step on the field next season and make huge contributions. Roquan Smith is going to start next year next to Trevathan. It is going to be an infusion of speed and talent. It is a great overall move in which the Chicago Bears had to make.
