First Round Top Twelve Mock Draft: Bears Make a Move!
One final mock draft from the BGO staff, this one from Bill Zimmerman.
There is so much information floating around right now. It’s almost impossible to figure out what is legit and what isn’t. The Chicago Bears will have a decision to make when the draft breaks this way and they have to decide what move they want to make when they are on the clock and they have offers to trade down.
The smart money has been on Sam Darnold for quite a while. Was it all a smokescreen? The last-second info has the Browns going with Baker Mayfield with the top overall selection. Many people think the Browns should save the QB selection until number four. That is flawed thinking. When you need a franchise QB, you take a franchise QB. It’s the most important position in sports and you don’t let a draft dictate who you get to play that position, you dictate to the rest of the league who will be playing that position for you.
There is even talk that the Browns could still make Josh Allen the first overall selection, but Mayfield seems to be the choice at this juncture.
