First Round Top Twelve Mock Draft: Bears Make a Move!

The first mistake of the draft is taking arguably the best player in the draft. While that sounds like a nonsense statement it isn’t. The Giants need to be rebuilding and need to understand that Eli Manning’s career is basically over and it’s time to select a franchise quarterback. Sam Darnold would be the smart choice here but the Giants seem to be convinced that they still can put together another run with Eli.

With that type of thinking, Barkley makes sense, but what will most likely happen is that the Giants end up squandering Barkley’s first two seasons with Eli at QB. End up tanking in his third season when Eli retires and playing a rookie QB in his fourth season. Suddenly, Barkley is already on his 5th-year option, you have a second-year QB and you haven’t even sniffed the postseason.
