Oddsmakers not sold on Chicago Bears

Many have noted the Chicago Bears as one of the big winners of the offseason. The oddsmakers do not agree quite yet
If you had to a write a guide to revamping an NFL franchise, the Chicago Bears past two offseasons would be about what you would expect to read. They got their quarterback. They got their head coach. The Chicago Bears added depth and talent on both sides of the football. However, with the new odds that have come out after the NFL draft have not been so favorable.
According to Bovada.Lv, the Chicago Bears are still one of the least likely teams in the entire NFL to win a Super Bowl. When it comes to the NFC, the Chicago Bears have the same odds as the Arizona Cardinals, 40/1 to win the conference. They believe in Josh Rosen as much as Mitchell Trubisky.
When it comes to the Super Bowl, the Chicago Bears have 100/1 odds to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. They have the same odds to win the Super Bowl as the Arizona Cardinals, Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills. The Buffalo Bills?!?!
The only teams with worse odds are the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets. The Dolphins are 150/1 and the Jets 200/1.

The fact of the matter is that these are not necessarily the odds in which the Bears have to win a Super Bowl, but more then odds in which the general public believes the Bears have to win a Super Bowl.
Oddsmakers are so good at their job because the number they give often creates even betting on both sides. The national media is not on the Bears yet. Matt Nagy was a smart hire, but not a sexy one. Mitchell Trubisky grew last season, but without highlight worthy throws.
The Bears also sit in a division with the Minnesota Vikings and Aaron Rodgers, two darlings of the general public.
The fact of the matter is that while the Bears may not be as good as some think, there is no way that they are in the same conversation as the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills.
This is season will be a good chance for the Bears to wake up the public and head into 2019 with contending odds.
