Now that the 2018 NFL Draft is over for the Chicago Bears, how does their cornerback room stack up?

The Chicago Bears did not make many big moves this offseason at cornerback beside bringing back the boys from a year ago. How does the depth chart shake out a year later?

Kyle Fuller

Kyle Fuller asserted himself as the top dog last season and got paid like that this offseason. The Chicago Bears matched his offer sheet from Green Bay, ensuring that he will be leading this secondary into 2018.

Prince Amukamara

Amukamara did not generate the same market as Fuller, but nonetheless, he got his. He is penciled into a starting role moving forward and signed on for the next three seasons. This should give the Bears comfortability in their size on the outside.

Bryce Callahan

Callahan is the starting slot cornerback as of today. However, it is worth noting the team still only gave him a one-year deal at a minimum value. They are still in prove it mode with Callahan and understandably so. It will be interesting to see if a strong training camp changes that idea.

Cre’Von LeBlanc

As of right now LeBlanc is the backup slot cornerback. He also been proficient in the role and is not a liability if something does happen and Callahan is lost in the long term.

Marcus Cooper

Cooper lost a lot of trust in Chicago after his bone headed play against Pittsburgh. As of now, he is adding depth on the outside, but there are some names down the roster who will compete with him.

Sherrick McManis

McManis consistently makes this team due to his special teams prowess. The Bears added some special teams value this offseason in other spots so it will be interesting to see how strong his grasp is on a roster spot.

Doran Grant

Grant has bounced around the league. He can play slot, outside and safety, but none of them very well. His path to the roster is being a better special teams asset than McManis.

Jonathan Mincy

Mincy comes from the CFL as an Undrafted player from Auburn. He brings size and speed, and is interesting option to try to make the team over Marcus Cooper.

Michael Joseph

Joseph was an elite ball hawk at a small school. However, he got invited to the combine and tested unathletic. He will have an uphill battle against bigger, faster and stronger.

Kevin Toliver

Toliver has a real chance to make this roster if he checks out off of the field. He has the talent and upside over Cooper and comes from a strong defensive background with the LSU defensive backs.

Rashard Fant

Fant is a small cornerback who plays bigger than expected with strong ball skills. He should push Cre’Von LeBlanc in camp and could easily be a practice squad member.
