While Chicago Bears outside linebacker Leonard Floyd has not practiced at OTA’s, he is trending in the right direction healthwise

Reports are slowly starting to come out from the Chicago Bears OTA’s. The hype around the team is building and some are starting to understand what the team is starting to build.

On the other side, some, like Leonard Floyd and Allen Robinson are rehabbing to get back out on the field. Robinson has progressed well and according to Nagy so has Floyd.

Floyd was hurt late into last season. With an ACL injury, the recovery period is usually anywhere from 8-12 months. It is nice to hear that Floyd is trending to the lower side.

The Chicago Bears are obviously going to be desperate for Floyd to have a big season. Floyd is their leader at the pass rusher position, and behind him, the questions are plentiful.

Aaron Lynch and Sam Acho will likely get most of the snaps beside Floyd. If the team is in a position where Lynch and Acho are starting opposite of each other, they are in big trouble.

This means relying on Leonard Floyd to be healthy in the worst way. It is huge news to hear that he is ahead of schedule.

It is also good to hear that despite Floyd wanting to be more active, the team is still taking things slow with him. They know rushing him back is a bad option and could lead to re-injury. So, for as optimistic as the news around Floyd is, we should remember to pump the brakes and take the slow route.
