With the long wait until training camp, Bleacher Report has identified Mitchell Trubisky as the Chicago with the most to prove when he shows up to camp.

The down time between mini camp and training camp is extremely vital. The team now knows the direction and knows the players around them. Now, it is time to stay in shape, stay out of trouble and show up to training camp showing that you have a firm grasp of the play book.

With that said, this is an important time for every player. However, as Bleacher Reports writes, this time period is more important than Mitchell Trubisky than anybody else. Gary Davenport writes:

"As Mitchell Trubisky heads toward his second training camp with the Chicago Bears, there’s no question as to his place in the pecking order. It’s Trubisky’s team in 2018.That doesn’t mean there isn’t substantial pressure on him as minicamp dawns. In the offseason, the Bears took major steps to improve the weaponry available to Trubisky. The Bears now have a true No. 1 receiver in Allen Robinson and an athletic young tight end in Trey Burton. The ingredients are there for a big second-year leap from the second overall pick in the 2017 draft. But now it’s up to Trubisky to cook up some success."

Trubisky was probably the obvious choice here. It is funny though, from being so close to the situation, it seems as though he has no pressure and nothing to prove. From the way he handles himself to the way the team looks at him, he is proven. He walks into media sessions confident, and the confidence shines off of the team. It seems as though everybody knows Mitchell Trubisky is going to be great around the organization. He just has not shown it to anybody outside o

f the organization yet.

So to the outside world, he obviously still has a lot to prove. The addition of all of the wide receivers. The addition of Trey Burton, Adam Shaheen and Tarik Cohen. It seems pretty apparent at this point in time that Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace are staking their careers on the successful development of Mitchell Trubisky.

There really are no excuses now for Mitchell Trubisky. Everything is in play for a second season. While there is no pressure, and confidence is high that can change quickly if Trubisky shows up a step behind or a beat off. If he can make the step next year, this team has a real chance to compete very quickly.
