5 reasons for a Mitchell Trubisky slump
Coaching changes
Most people tend to look to the Chicago Bears coaching change as a good thing, and yes, it is hard to argue that idea. However, the fact of the matter is that Mitchell Trubisky now has to learn his second offense in as many years. When adding in his college offense it will be the third different offense that he has ran in three years.
That is a lot to put on a players plate. Especially a player who has as little experience as Mitchell Trubisky. Especially considering Trubisky has to deal with learning how to process the speed of pressure. He has some mechanical flaws to over come as well.

So yes, while this coaching staff is likely more equip to fix these issues, it bares the question, why did they leave Trubisky out to dry for a full season? Why was he not getting preseason snaps? Why did they parade Mike Glennon out there for four weeks? Why were they not building and working on these issues with Trubisky earlier?
Trubisky showed in the speed of the game that he can slow things down over time. It seems as though putting things on pause for one season and now looking to excelerate things in year two may be a lot to ask for.
So, while most reports surrounding Trubisky have been positive, there is still room to be skeptical. There is a world where Trubisky does have a sophomore slump and goes into season three with serious questions.
