Which division is the best in the NFL?

One of the more underrated factors of an NFL season is the strength of the division you are playing. Every team plays 6 games, almost 40% against the teams in their own division. Play in a tough division? You have a very tough schedule.

So, while the Chicago Bears have a better team this year than last, the question is whether or not their division is so good that it may not have a huge impact on their record. So where would the NFC North division rank amongst all of its peers?

8. AFC East: Patriots, Dolphins, Bills, Jets

Yes, a division with the New England Patriots-the dynasty, Tom Brady, Bill Belichick-a division with them is going to round out the bottom divisions in the NFL. That is because the other three teams could be competing for the worst in the NFL.

Seriously, how surprised would you be if one of these three teams were picking first overall next year? The Buffalo Bills seem to be actively tanking. They made the playoff in spite of it last season, but lost three offensive linemen and drafted the biggest project in the NFL draft. The idea in Buffalo seems to be to trust the process. We will see if it works in the NFL.

The New York Jets invested in the youngest quarterback in the draft. Their defense should improve, but their offense has a plethora of questions. They have a large rotation of wide receivers and are relying on Isaiah Crowell in the backfield.

As for the Dolphins, they essentially swapped out Ndamukong Suh for Robert Quinn. That is a bad swap, especially considering the Dolphins already had Charles Harris and Cam Wake on the edge. The team lacks talent up in the middle on defense. They are also invested on Ryan Tannehill coming off of an injury with a questionable cast of skill players.

The Patriots bring them up to the conversation, but this is the worst division.
