2. NFC South: Falcons, Saints, Bucs, Panthers
The NFC South is very close to being the top overall division in the NFL. Every year all four teams are at least relatively competitive.
Last season the New Orleans Saints lost in a heartbreaker on what looked like a potential Super Bowl season. They should be right back in the mix and with the addition of Marcus Davenport in the first round, they are adamant at improving their defense to get on par with what is always a top-five offense.
The Atlanta Falcons went from the Super Bowl to losing in the second round of the playoffs. Still, the Falcons are a team that is still going to be competitive next season. The offense took a step back going from Kyle Shanahan to Steve Sarkisian. The hope is that in year two of Sark, and with the addition of Calvin Ridley, that this team can take another step forward.
The Panthers are in a very interesting spot. They changed offensive coordinators, but the question is whether or not that is for the better. They moved onto Norv Turner, who flopped in his last stint. It will be interesting to see what he can do with the addition of D.J. Moore at wide receiver. If the offense takes a step forward, this is the best division in football.
Then, there are the Buccaneers. Every year the Bucs are supposed to take a step forward. Every year they disappoint. The offense should be in perfect form. They have real issues on defense that may hinder them, but as a fourth team in the division, they certainly help make the case best overall division.
