1. Does not take big hits
When you watch Cohen run between the tackles, one of the most surprising aspects has to be how well he is able to stay clean and avoid taking big hits. Like the play in the last slide, he typically has that chance to assess the field and explodes into holes faster than anyone is able to get their hands on him.
In the play below, it looks like Mychal Kendricks has Tarik Cohen squared up. However, Cohen is quick to plant his feet and cut outside. It is not a huge run, but he is brought down softly.
Even in situations like the play below, where a big hit may be necessary, Cohen has the strength and momentum to deliver the hit, and not take the hit. He does not go down on this play.
Many think that with Cohen being shorter that he would not be durable or able to hang in the box. However, he is strong and smart enough to do it.
