Who are five Chicago Bears players set to take a big step forward in 2018?

The Chicago Bears report to training camp in less than two weeks.  At camp, every player is going to start fresh with a clean slate heading into the 2018 season. Of course, some players may be in a better position than others to succeed, but at this point, it is now on that player’s ability.

Who are some players on the Chicago Bears who have the ability to burst out into a better season in 2018 than any other season in their career?

5. Isaiah Irving

Isaiah Irving has as good of a chance as anybody to walk into the regular season as a starter across from Leonard Floyd. Lets face it, that job is completely up for grabs at the moment.

Aaron Lynch is the leader in the clubhouse but has already had a nagging injury at OTAs. Considering injuries has always been his issue it is tough to say he is ensured anything.

From there is Kylie Fitts a sixth-round rookie and Kasim Edebali, a late offseason addition with rotational experience, and Sam Acho. It is entirely possible for Isaiah Irving to not only make it onto the roster but also stand out as a potential starter from this group.

Yes, Irving is a UDFA himself. In his rookie season, he saw limited time and after his one start was placed on the IR. Still, the start was against the Philadelphia Eagles and was a strong start.

Word is that Irving is healthy and in great shape with the added muscle to hold up this season. If he can take advantage, starter snaps are in play for a player who would have never expected them a few months ago.
