4. Dion Sims

Dion Sims comes along the lines of the same premise. There are only going to be so many snaps and chances to touch the football. Do we really want to spend an actual quantity on Dion Sims?

Yes, I know the Chicago Bears have talked heavily about their three tight end sets. They have talked about needing each tight end for a specific role. Still, of the three, Dion Sims is going to play the least. Last season, he played more than any other tight end on the roster. He is losing his job.

Dion Sims caught 15 passes and played in 580 snaps last season. Do you really think that he is going to even hit that production? The snaps seem like a far stretch. One would expect much closer to a number around 300. In terms of passes caught, 15 is not much. Still, as mentioned with Gabriel, targets are going to be tough to come by. There are just better options at this point and it is going to equal a down season for Dion Sims.
