Who are five Chicago Bears players who are ready to make some noise heading into training camp?
The start of training camp is always great because it brings optimism everywhere. 90 players come in with the idea of making an NFL roster and helping a team win the Super Bowl. It is their year, make or break time, a chance to shine. Every team has a name or two emerge over the summer months to make noise.
Last year, the buzz grew for Eddie Jackson, Tanner Gentry, Mitchell Trubisky and Bryce Callahan with strong preseasons. Who are some players who may emerge over the summer this year?
Ryan Nall
The UDFA from Oregon State is likely going to get every chance imaginable over this summer to prove that he belongs on an NFL roster. He has the skills and the versatility to prove that notion as well.
Heading into camp, the top of the Bears depth chart is set. We know what the Chicago Bears have in Tarik Cohen and Jordan Howard. Heck, it is not like they need to toss Benny Cunningham out there for significant snaps either.
This should be a good chance for not only Ryan Nall, but Taquan Mizzell to take much-needed snaps. Whichever back proves in camp may get to start or play early into a few preseason games. Still, the other back is likely going to earn playing time with extended looks in the second half.
Nall is one of the more likely UDFA targets to make the Chicago Bears roster in 2018. With ample opportunity, he could be a strong candidate to create loud buzz in the preseason.
