Deon Bush

One of the more comforting factors to come out of OTAs was Vic Fangio’s praise of Deon Bush. He mentioned Bush taking a step forward and potentially seeing a more expanded role in his third season. Does that momentum continue to come to fruition in the preseason?

It easily could. Yes, Adrian Amos and Eddie Jackson are going to see a lot of time in practices and during the preseason. The duo could use the time to grow together. However, Bush is going to see a lot of time on the field as well.

The team will also likely be looking to carve out a dime role for Bush. The NFL is becoming more sub package and teams are having to dig six defensive backs deep for significant snaps now. Bush could be that sixth.

Time will tell but Bush is likely going to have the chance to shine in 2018.
