Nick Kwiatkoski

If you had to say who the most motivated player on the roster is right now, it would not take long to come to the name Nick Kwiatkoski. Over the past two seasons, Kwiatkowski has been thrown into the fire. He has been tossed into starting snaps on the fly and has taken them in stride.

He suffered an injury in week two last season but bounced back and closed the year with five starts. Nick Kwiatkoski had earned some respect amongst Chicago Bears fans as a potential starter into the future. Then the NFL Draft came.

Roquan Smith fell right into the Chicago Bears laps. We love Kwiatkoski, but Roquan Smith is an upgrade over him. That is a tough blow.

Then, the team double dips and takes another inside linebacker. Joel Iyiegbuniwe was a bit unknown but does carry starter upside. Sure, the cupboard was bare and now it is full. Still, it was not a draft that showed full faith in the ceiling of Nick Kwiatkoski.

Now, he has a summer to prove himself. He will see some starting snaps next to and ahead of Roquan Smith. He is going to take plenty of snaps right next to Joel Iyiegbuniwe. He is also going to get the chance to show some pass rushing ability, and hope to prove versatility can get him on the field.

Nonetheless, Nick Kwiatkoski has a lot to prove this summer. He is going to get the chance, and hopefully, he is going to make some noise.
