The Chicago Bears waived the player who ranked 89th on our list of top 90 Bears players

In a move that was going to come at one point or another, the Chicago Bears waived Jeremy Hall very early into training camp. This should be looked at as no surprise, as Hall was rated 89th overall on our list of top 90 players on the Chicago Bears.

While the move was bound to happen, it coming after the first weekend of practice may be surprising. It is pretty likely that Hall may have broken a team rule, or had made a violation. With his status on the team, any slip up is going to cost him his job. Could that have been the case?

On the other hand, the reason in which we ranked him so low was due to his lack of athleticism. He was a slow mover who had an uphill battle to have any chance to being quick enough to see NFL snaps. He was going to rely on his smarts and technical precision to have any chance at a roster spot.

Is there a chance that the team saw just how high of a hill he had to climb? Did they see him as so limited that he stuck out like a sore thumb as a player who did not belong? This only shrinks his margin for error, maybe rather than a team rule it was just play book comprehension.

Whatever the matter, the Bears have yet to make a correlating move to add a 90th man to the roster. This likely means that the team was more interested in getting rid of him than bringing someone in. Not good for the long haul for Hill.
