How have the Chicago Bears cornerbacks looked in the early portion of training camp?
With the second real week of camp set to begin for the Chicago Bears, it was a good time to sit back and assess where the roster is and who has been making noise at camp. Keep in mind, it is just one week and while these updates are tracking momentum, are not thoughts in stone by any means.
Kyle Fuller
Kyle Fuller has gotten off to a good start this summer. He had an interception early into camp and has been competitive throughout the week.
Kevin Fishbain of the Athletic had a sharp piece talking with Fuller about how he maintains his motivations with his new contract. Expect this only to be the start for Kyle Fuller.
Prince Amukamara
Amukamara has had a strong start to his camp as well. He had a great pass breakup down the field and jumped a route for an interception.
The buzz around his name has been steady in camp, and the duo on the outside has given Mitchell Trubisky fits.
Bryce Callahan
One name that’s stock has not been up had been Bryce Callahan. Early on Taylor Gabriel and Anthony Miller were able to pick on him out of the slot, and it looked like it took some time for Callahan to pick things up.

As mentioned, it is no reason to panic, and Callahan did make some strong plays as well.
Nonetheless, Callahan came into camp expecting extension talks after signing a low end one year deal. He will need to string better practices together for that to happen.
Cre’Von LeBlanc
Reports from LeBlanc have been similar to Callahan. Miller and Gabriel have gotten the best of him at times. However, he did jump a route for an interception. Still, while Callahan is not pulling away and that should be worrisome, LeBlanc is not pressing for the job either.
Marcus Cooper and Kevin Toliver
Marcus Cooper has been very quiet so far. So quiet that he needs to be lumped in with Kevin Toliver who could very surely be taking his job. Toliver has shined in camp so far. He missed the last day with an injury but as of right now seems to have taken the head and shoulders lead over Cooper on the depth chart.
