Inside Linebacker

It likely should not be considered a surprise. Still, Roquan Smith rests as a second-string linebacker behind Nick Kwiatkoski. Kwiatkowski has been a player who has impressed in camp so far, and the early vibe is that he is not going to let go of his job that easy.

It is no surprise to see that Joel Iyienbuniwe is a third team player as well, as he has missed a few sessions.

After some speculation that Jonathan Anderson would get a long hard look on the edge this summer due to the concerns at that spot, it seems as though he is still locked inside. His inside designation could very easily have to do with Smith and Trevathan being absent and needing a body in that spot.

The team just picked up Ro’Derrick Hoskins, who is beside Josh Woods as the depth players who are getting more snaps than needed thanks to Smith and Trevathan.
