5 defensive players to watch in Bears second preseason game

2. Jonathan Bullard and Roy Robertson-Harris

Like Irving and Fitts, Bullard and Robertson-Harris took advantage of their extra snaps with Eddie Goldman and Akiem Hicks on the pine. Those two looked not only like NFL players, but NFL starters in a game with fringe NFL players. They tore things up.

The Chicago Bears are not going to push Hicks and Goldman onto the field for significant roles in their first preseason game. These are likely the two players who will see the least snaps on that side of the ball.

With that in mind, we are likely in for another half of this duo. As funny as it sounds, both performed so well in the Hall of Fame game that it is tough to say anyone gained traction. Still, as the sample size increases, and the players begin to get more game ready, we should start to see a resolution to the competition. Still, it would be great to see both continue to dominate in the manner in which they did last week.
