Who are the Chicago Bears who won and lost in Week Three of the preseason?
Despite sitting the starters, the Chicago Bears put forth one of their best efforts of the preseason. The team looked strong regarding depth and showed us a well prepared all around group. A huge halftime lead with two scoring drives to open the game against the Chiefs starters can speak to the preparedness.
Who were some stand out players in the game?
Winners:
Kevin Toliver
Toliver started and played into the second half. It was quite easily his best performance of the preseason. He almost capped it off with a key interception, but overall looked as though he is getting comfortable. Marcus Cooper sat out, but it is hard to say his job is very safe with one more chance for Toliver to earn a job.
Rashaad Coward
The arrow continues to trend up with Rashaad Coward. Coward let up a sack to Tanoh Kpassagnon, but a roughing the passer eased the pain. On top of that, he was excellent before the sack allowed. He played the entire game at right tackle and had shown progress from receiving valuable snaps. It is clear the team is interested in tracking his progress.
Javon Wims
It felt as though Javon Wims won a job today. He started across from Kevin White, and while White found the end zone, Wims put up five receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown to steal the show. He took off after the catch and made a crazy catch in the end zone, something he has done in college and camp. Wims is the type of player who absolutely will get claimed if goes through waivers. Javon Wims is not a Tanner Gentry or Daniel Braverman situation.
Losers
Jonathan Bullard
Another roster battle that may have been resolved today was Robertson-Harris against Bullard. It is not a win for Bullard. Robertson-Harris outproduced him in each of the last two weeks, and has shown more versatile overall. Bullard missed time nursing an injury on the sideline and has played deep into the fourth quarter well after Robertson-Harris was pulled. Not a good sign for the third round pick.

Taquan Mizzell
Taquan Mizzell ensured today that he will not only be cut, but will not be on the practice squad. He struggled in pass protection, pass catching and running as he put in two receptions for 15 yards and four carries for six yards. No thanks.
Bennie Fowler and Marlon Brown
Bennie Fowler had a chance to compete with Josh Bellamy for a roster spot but was behind the eight ball with a drop in the Hall of Fame game. He never regained footing and was outproduced by White, Wims, Gentry and Marlon Brown. He is not making the roster.
Marlon Brown has been getting snaps ahead of Javon Wims before Saturday. Wims ensured that this would never happen again. Brown competed hard in camp but is not going to make the roster.
