Rashaad Coward

While Kevin Toliver has gone up and down this offseason, the progression of Rashaad Coward has been linear. He has progressed at every stop and has benefited from the extra playing time thanks to the Hall of Fame game.

Coward is a defensive tackle moving to right tackle. The Bears had to assume that they were taking the long route on his development. This meant an apparent year on the practice squad.
To their surprise, Coward looks ahead of schedule, and on a snap-per-snap basis, has been more consistent than Bradley Sowell. Sowell can play guard and tackle and has played on the left and right side. The versatility gives him an advantage over Coward, who can barely play the right side.

However, the talent and upside of Rashaad Coward are indeed making this a competition. Coward has one more chance to put on a show and make a case for the 53-man roster. They have to remember, other teams, are watching this game too, as many players from the game will end up on waivers. Will Coward shine under that light?
