Deiondre Hall

Deiondre’ Hall is infuriating. All summer, signs were pointing up regarding his progress this season. Then, he committed a dumb special teams penalty and was suspended for the first game.

The special team’s penalty kills him because that was his path to the roster. The suspension kills him because he had a chance to step in as the team’s clear fourth safety to start the season thanks to a DeAndre Houston-Carson injury. Now, he heads into the fourth preseason game in the doghouse, inactive on Week One, and on the fringe of the roster.

Next. Stock Up, Stock Down Week 3. dark

If Hall stays, the Bears likely carry three safeties into week one. That is a risky proposition and a big bet to make on someone who has yet to earn that much slack. Hall is going to have to prove that he is worth keeping around on the roster. If not, this could very quickly turn into his last game as a Chicago Bear.
