The biggest fish in the entire pond was landed by the Chicago Bears. With the addition of Khalil Mack, they go from picking in the top ten to a Super Bowl contender

Khalil Mack is one of the two best defensive players in the NFL at this point. As an edge rusher, he is the elite talent at arguably the second most important position behind the quarterback. That also just so happened to be the Chicago Bears glaring weakness.

The Chicago Bears found a way to turn their biggest weakness into their biggest strength in adding the most elite pass rusher off of the edge in Khalil Mack. While details have yet to emerge regarding what it took to acquire Mack, it was worth it.

This opens a Super Bowl window that starts now. This team is ready to compete. The offense is entirely revamped. Four new wide receivers join a new tight end and an offensive genius in Matt Nagy. With Mitchell Trubisky expected to take a step in year two, this side of the ball is a night and day difference from a year before.

On defense, the group already had a top ten unit. That unit added speed, understanding and tenacity with Roquan Smith in the NFL draft. The pick spoke to this window. The Bears could have gone with more upside in Tremaine Edmunds. Edmunds is a freak athlete, but is working through his understanding and is much rawer than Smith.

Taking the safe bet in Smith who could play right away spoke to their willingness to win. Now, they add Mack to Smith to go as far in as you can go. The team beat out the Packers for Kyle Fuller and Khalil Mack. They have made the right moves all offseason, and this is just another one. Watch out Bears fans; your team has true Super Bowl aspirations.
