4. Nick Williams

From the day of the NFL draft on, I predicted six defensive linemen to make the 53-man roster. I had Eddie Goldman, Akiem Hicks, Jonathan Bullard, Roy Robertson-Harris, Bilal Nichols and John Jenkins.

I did not waver off of that six through the entirety of the preseason. However, early into the process, the Chicago Bears let go of Jenkins and Nick Williams, having only five defensive linemen on the depth chart.

That would not have been a huge surprise, considering Bilal Nichols has played not only defensive end but also the nose in the preseason. However, it would have left them with little depth.

Due to the versatility of Nichols, they bring back the more versatile Williams than the true nose in John Jenkins. It will not have a significant impact on the roster, but I was wrong on that call of Jenkins over Williams.
