8. Taquan Mizzell

Nick Orr, Cavon Walker, and Jordan Morgan all had more reason to make the practice squad than Taquan Mizzell. He showed less than stellar play in all areas of the game. However, Ryan Pace seems to have some affinity for him.

It is fair that the Chicago Bears are bringing three running backs to the 53-man roster. While Ryan Nall is a player we will discuss later, the idea with him would likely be to try and have him replace Michael Burton next season.

Stylistically, Mizzell would fill into the Benny Cunningham role. Cunningham has already dealt with injury, and Mizzell staved off Knile Davis, who was brought in when Cunningham went down. How impressive that feat is would be for you to judge.

Mizzell has not been impressive, but he has a new life. Still, it is tough to see him getting a legitimate shot at the roster. At least this season. This is why I would have expected this spot to go to another name.
