2. Ryan Nall

Many Chicago Bears fans were surprised at the news that Ryan Nall was released. However, it was not surprising in the least bit. That same group did not think he would clear waivers. However, that was predictable as well. Still, now I will finally agree with the Nall contingent. He has a decent chance at being a contributor this season.

When Ryan Nall took his first snaps in the Hall of Fame game, he looked overwhelmed. From there, he progressively got better. Early into the preseason, you could tell that the Chicago Bears were dipping his toes in. This is why it was so easy to see him being released and clearing waivers.

However, he is the perfect practice squad player. The team is going to add some strength to him. They are going to increase his passing game recognition and understanding. Then, they are going to hope that he is versatile in the blocking and receiving game to move into the Michael Burton role.

He has a path to the roster in 2019 and could see a true role if an injury occurred in 2018. Nall was a clear practice squad player but a valued one at that.
