Do not let the Chicago Bears loss take away from the fact that Khalil Mack looks incredible

Listen, the Chicago Bears loss at the Green Bay Packers is distressing. They had their division rivals by the throat and did not finish them. However, when starting the season, many had the team losing this game. There is still a lot to take away from this game and grow from.

The biggest takeaway is that if this is what Khalil Mack looks like when he is just getting going, what is he going to look like in midseason form?

Khalil Mack missed all of training camp and the preseason. Heck, he was traded teams after the preseason. With one week of practice, Mack lit the world on fire.

Mack had three tackles. He added a sack, a forced fumble, and an interception return for a touchdown. That does not even factor in that he was pushing the pocket on every snap he was on the field. He was legitimately everywhere.

Heck, who was the closest player to Randall Cobb when he broke the game winning touchdown? You guessed it. It was Khalil Mack, in full spring chasing down Cobb until the very end. What a selfish, me-first hold out player.

Yes, this loss is going to sting. However, to think about what this defense can do moving forward is scary. Roquan Smith was barely involved. Mack was in and out. The two will continue to get more involved, and the rest of the defense will begin to mold around them.

Next. Bears get conservative, blow half time lead. dark

While we have to wait another week to celebrate a win, if this is as bad as it gets, it is going to get pretty good.
