The brightest spot for the Bears in this loss was the play of newcomer Khalil Mack. The league’s highest-paid defensive player showed that he’s worth every penny of his $141 million contract. Mack ended the game with a sack, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and an interception that he returned for a touchdown. Rookie Roquan Smith made his presence felt on his first career defensive snap by recording a sack.
