Everyone is blaming Matt Nagy for his first loss as Chicago Bears head coach. Including Matt Nagy

When you criticize Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy for the bad play calls or any poor decision he makes this season, know, Matt Nagy will be criticizing himself even more. Not only that, Matt Nagy will be taking accountability and telling us about it.

After the Chicago Bears blew a 20-0 lead all eyes were on Matt Nagy, who put 3 points from the first drive of the second half on. The coach who had the Packers by their throats let go and forgot how to go in for the kill.

This led to a lot of criticism towards Nagy and his decision making as a head coach. With a history that may have suggested this could happen, it gets even worse.

While many may see this as a trend growing for Nagy, Nagy wants you to know that he has identified the issues and is working to fix them. He told the media that on Monday.

It was refreshing to hear Nagy point to specific moments in the game and particular mistakes that he thought he made. John Fox felt as though he always made the right decision and that no one could question him. Nagy is saying that the criticism is fair and that he is taking notes to get better next time.

This is what happens when you invest in a young head coach without much experience. No, that does not mean he is going to be a bust of a coach. However, it does mean that growing pains will come, as factors in which he has never thought about will arise throughout the season.

Next. Week One snap counts. dark

So, it is not necessarily about what Nagy does, but how he responds to what he does. His growth throughout the season will be a must follow. If he learns from his mistakes, the Chicago Bears have an up and coming leader. If he continues to repeat the same mistakes, you may have an issue.
