Five Positives from Chicago Bears Crushing Loss to Green Bay Packers

5. Offensive Line

Let’s start with the offensive line that played very well. They protected Mitch Trubisky. The Packers registered three sacks, but one was Mitch running out-of-bounds and was called out behind the line of scrimmage, and another one was Mitch’s butt fumble. The bottom line is that Trubisky had time to find open receivers, and when he did have to move around a little, the Bears held onto their blocks.

Running the football, the Bears did an excellent job opening holes for Jordan Howard. Individually, Kyle Long looked better than he has in years. If he’s back to his old self after struggling with injuries the last couple of years, he could propel the line to an elite level.

Keep in mind, young James Daniels is still waiting in the wings, and when he’s ready, he should make the offensive line even better.
