Five Positives from Chicago Bears Crushing Loss to Green Bay Packers

Some of the best news to come out of this game was the play of Jordan Howard. Howard ran the ball 15 times for 82 yards, but even better, he had five catches for 25 yards.

One of the biggest criticisms of Nagy was that he didn’t give the ball to Howard enough in the second half. He really got his momentum rolling behind the offensive line and was averaging over 6 yards per carry in the second half.

Everyone knows how well Howard can run, but he worked his way into the passing game effectively. Sure, five catches for 25 yards doesn’t jump off the page, but if Howard is effective enough in the passing game that he can stay on the field, that’s going to open up another dimension of Matt Nagy’s offense. Howard’s play both running and catching was a giant positive for the offense.
