2. Allen Robinson’s Return

The most underplayed storyline of the night was how good Allen Robinson looked after playing in his first game since tearing his ACL in week one of the 2017 season.

Robinson came out of the game with four receptions for 61 yards and was the leading receiver for the Bears. Robinson showed his ability to make the contested jump-ball catch as well as the difficult possession catch when the team needed it most.

It’s clear that Robinson will have to continue to develop chemistry with Mitch Trubisky. There were a few throws that the two simply were not on the same page.

The promising thing is that Robinson looked quick off the line and if one were to view this game having no prior knowledge of Robinson, you’d never guess he was coming off a season-ending injury.

It was only week one and there is still much more productivity needed, but it appears as though the Bears have solidified there No. 1 receiver.
