Even without participating in training camp and the preseason, rookie inside linebacker Roquan Smith still saw some playing time last week. The eighth-overall selection from this year’s draft made his presence felt immediately, recording a sack on his very first career play. Although his snaps were limited in Week 1, Smith should see an increased volume of work against the Seahawks. His performance on Monday night could open the door to more playing time, and even a spot in the starting lineup in the very near future.
