Did you get the feeling near the fourth quarter of “oh boy, here we go again?” Thanks to Prince Amukamara, we did not get the same theatrics on prime time as last week

The Chicago Bears win over the Seattle Seahawks had a bit of an eery feel that was similar to their Sunday Night Football loss just a week before against the Green Bay Packers.

Things started off great. A three and out of Russell Wilson was followed up by a drive where the Chicago Bears marched straight down the field and put up seven points on the board like they were ready to rack up sixty.

The Chicago Bears quickly jumped out to a 10-0 lead, and from there, it was hang on for dear life. Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, it was starting to have the makings of a similar ending as the Chicago Bears struggled to move the ball in the second half, and Wilson got his team within one.

Then, Prince Amukamara happened. It seemed as though the Chicago Bears pass rush got to Russell Wilson more consistently, especially in the second half of this game. They had Wilson flustered and eventually took advantage.

Wilson tried to make a far hash throw, and Amukamara jumped the route and took it to the house to extend the lead to two scores with under seven minutes to go.

It was the game sealer,  the moment in which they did not get last week. Remember Kyle Fuller and his drop?

Next. Is Eddie Goldman worth the investment. dark

This could be used as an overarching theme of growth for the team. Unable to put away the Packers on the road, the team took a step forward by being able to put away the Seahawks at home. Now, they head back to the road to take on a team in the Arizona Cardinals that they should handle easily.

Let’s see if they take another step forward and live up to that challenge.
