Rush the Cardinals Quarterback

After the Cardinals lost to the Rams last week, Head Coach Steve Wilks publicly stated that the team will likely be making changes on offense and defense. Wilks did mention that the change will not come at the quarterback position, so that means Sam Bradford will be under center for Arizona.

Through two games in 2018, Bradford has just 243 total passing yards and two interceptions. To make things worse for the Cardinals, he hasn’t thrown a single touchdown.

If the defense wants to disrupt the Cardinals offense,  the Bears must rush the passer the way they did against the Seahawks. In the first half of week two, the Bears totaled five sacks. However, in the second half, the defense had just one sack. Even though the Bears won, consistently rushing the passer is something that needs to be done in the second half. Even against the Packers in week one, it was evident that the pass rush was somewhat non-existent in the second half.

If the defense can begin to rush the quarterback more in the second half, then this is a unit that can go from good to great fairly quickly.
