What are three things that you thought might happen but have not processed yet over the start of the Chicago Bears 2018 season?

The Chicago Bears are 1-1. Let’s all overreact!! But seriously, when you read this remember the context. I am not calling anyone a bust, nor are any real bold proclamations going to be made here.

This is rather a few things that I thought we may see early into the season but are not seeing quite yet.

With that in mind, these are the three early disappointments that from the Chicago Bears first two weeks.

Tarik Cohen

On the very first play of the Chicago Bears season, Tarik Cohen got a touch. Tarik Cohen has also been involved in the offense. He has played 28 and 21 snaps respectively and has lined up at wide receiver and in the passing game.

However, he has not been entirely effective yet and has not broken any big plays open. So far, Cohen has nine carries for 33 yards on the ground, He has been targeted five times in the air and has four for 33 in that area. While he does have six punt returns for over 100 yards, almost twice his 2017 total, that doesn’t seem to be enough to have Chicago Bears fans feeling like they are getting the most out of Cohen.

To start, he likely should be on the field closer to half of the plays due to his dynamic nature. However, from there, it will be on Cohen to take advantage. He needs to break a play into the open field and prove that he needs more touches with that time. Until then, he has not quite been the big hit on the offense.
