Head coach Matt Nagy and offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich orchestrated a good, well-balanced offensive attack, while defensive coordinator Vic Fangio kept the heat on Arizona’s offense. Going into halftime down 14-3, Chicago’s coaching staff made the necessary adjustments and put the players in position for this comeback. In the final two minutes of the second quarter, it looked as if Nagy was going to go for it on fourth-and-goal on the Cardinals’ two-yard line, but wised up and took the virtually guaranteed three points instead. One thing that hindered Chicago was the in ability to find a way to protect the quarterback from the Cardinals’ blitz.
