Chicago Bears Week Four Keys To Victory

2.Shutdown Mike Evans
When the Bears played the Buccaneers in 2017, Mike Evans totaled seven receptions for 93 yards and just one touchdown. In three games this season, Evans already has 23 receptions for 367 yards. With Evans being the Buccaneers best offensive player, the Bears will need to shut him down.
Since Vic Fangio arrived in Chicago in 2015, the Bears have done an excellent job of shutting Evans down. In his last three games against the Bears, Evans has just 15 receptions for 220 yards.
As a big play target, the goal to shutting Evans down is by disrupting him at the line of scrimmage. While he may break free at times, the Bears will need to use Eddie Jackson and Adrian Amos to keep Evans from making any big plays downfield.
Tampa Bay’s offensive game plan largely revolves around Evans. If the Bears can shut Evans down while getting consistent pressure on Ryan Fitzpatrick, then Chicago has a chance to hand the Buccaneers their second consecutive loss of the season.
