3. Pass More Than Run

While most Bears fans would like Jordan Howard to be the focal point of the Chicago Bears offense due to the struggles of Mitchell Trubisky, this Sunday, Trubisky will need to step up and be Chicago’s best offensive player.

The goal for the Bears in the passing game should be to get the ball out quickly as it looks like for the first time all season, Tampa Bay’s pass rush will be fully healthy. While Chicago could consider using Jordan Howard and running the football, the Bucs defense has only allowed 212 rushing yards through three games this season.

On offense, the Bears are averaging 4.7 yards per pass attempt. The Buccaneers, on the other hand, have given up 7.9 yards per pass attempt to opponents in 2018.

Over the last two weeks, Mitchell Trubisky and Allen Robinson have connected 13 times and have totaled 133 receiving yards. With Tampa Bay’s secondary depleted, the Bears are in a prime position to finally get the passing game clicking. Trey Burton’s relationship with Mitchell Trubisky continues to grow as well. Over a two week span, the two have connected 8 times for 75 yards.

As the chemistry between Trubisky and his receivers continues to grow, Sunday represents a step for the Bears to finally get the passing game clicking.

If Chicago wants to win, then the passing game will need to be firing on all cylinders.
