The Jets were pretty thin at the wide receiver position on Sunday afternoon, and the Bears’ secondary took advantage of that weakness. Only one Jets receiver had over 60 yards receiving. No interceptions were recorded by Chicago’s defensive backs, but five passes were defended by the Bears’ last line of defense. Cornerback Bryce Callahan deflected three passes and recorded the team’s only sack on the afternoon. Fellow defensive backfield mates Kyle Fuller and Eddie Jackson each defended a pass of their own. The only blemish on the day was Jackson’s unnecessary roughness penalty on a third-and-long after an incomplete pass, which kept the drive alive for New York to score their only touchdown of the day.
