Against a team and quarterback that they should beat on the road, head coach Matt Nagy is urging his Chicago Bears to dial in on Sunday

When listening to the Matt Nagy press conference on Thursday it was interesting to note that last week he had a group message for the team and that was to finish. It was interesting because earlier in that week, I wrote an article saying that the team was going to have a chance and needed to close out a victory against the New York Jets.

Finishing, and putting a team away is not something the Chicago Bears have done. They had a 17-10 lead with the ball in the fourth quarter agains the Jets. It was their chance to finish and they took advantage. That goes back to a strong understanding of the moment and situation for Nagy.

So, with a firm understanding that his team needed to finish followed up by a finishing effort from his squad, the question becomes what was his message for the Buffalo Bills?

As he said in his press conference, this week it was to dial in. Nagy said that while the wear and tear of the season has some out of practice or missing snaps here and there, that the entire team needs to dial in, and take advantage of the few snaps they do get to prepare throughout the week.

He knows that one mistake against the Bills defense could result in points for them. That is the only way the Chicago Bears can lose to this offense. That, and missed tackles.

What is the way to avoid turnovers on offense and missed tackles on defense? A dialed in, no play off approach. The Chicago Bears need to take that approach into their game on Sunday, and it is good to see Nagy instilling that message into his team this week.
