Prediction

This game is a perfect test for the Bears. You’ve got the experienced Minnesota Vikings who are coming into town and hungry to get back to first place in the division. On the other, you’ve got the Chicago Bears, a young team that’s clearly trending upwards. This is one of the more complicated games to predict on the Bears schedule. Looking at how evenly matched the teams are, this game could ultimately come down to two major factors. First, whoever can protect their quarterback and give him time to throw will have the opportunity to make more plays. Second, whichever team can limit turnovers and protect the ball will have a chance to ultimately win the game. If the Bears can remain aggressive on offense, then they have a chance to wear out the Vikings defense. Minnesota however, will do everything in their power to get after Mitchell Trubisky and slow him down. This game has the feeling of being either an old-school defensive battle or being a matchup between two explosive offenses.

Prediction: Bears 31, Vikings 24.
