Adam Shaheen came then left.

With the big win, we also saw the debut of tight end Adam Shaheen. Shaheen did not play much, and when he did, he was in-line as a blocker. However, up 20-6, the Chicago Bears decided to go for two points. They got Adam Shaheen matched up one-on-one on the outside, and Shaheen took advantage of the mismatch with a catch.

Mitch Trubisky rushed over to Shaheen to celebrate the catch that got his tight end on the board and into the mix. Unfortunately, Shaheen was not really in the mood to celebrate. He looked a bit dinged up the second he landed from the touchdown.

It was later reported he hit his head coming down from the catch and was evaluated for a concussion. With a game on Thursday, it will be tough for him to pass the concussion protocol.
This is a disappointment for Shaheen, as he fought hard to get back from the ankle injury in the preseason. You could see from the reaction of Trubisky that he was so proud to see Shaheen get back and become a contributing piece. Hopefully, he will be able to get back on the field sooner than later.
