Another NFC North battle on Thanksgiving as the Chicago Bears are in Detroit facing the Lions. How will the short week effect Bears players fantasy football production?

The Chicago Bears are riding a 4 game win streak, and the offense has been clicking. Your fantasy season is nearing the playoffs which players will put your team over the hump? I’m your Bears fantasy football expert.

Start

Mitchell Trubisky: I know he is banged up after the physical win against the Vikings on Sunday night, but if he is playing start him. Two weeks ago against Detroit Trubisky won NFC offensive player of the week. While I don’t think he will repeat that performance on the road, I do think he will be close to it. The Lions gave up 357 yards and 3 td’s to Cam Newton in week 11, Trubiksy’s banged up but the Lions defense is just what the doctor ordered. Definitely a QB1 starter.

Allen Robinson: Robinson did not live up to expectations against the Vikings on Sunday night. But he is healthy and torched the Lions two weeks ago. Robinson should bounce back this week with a heavy target load. Getting him involved early will open things up for everyone else, and he is always a red zone threat. Definitely a WR2 or Flex in PPR leagues.

Sit

Defense/Special Teams: Without Kerryon Johnson the Lions will be throwing ball a ton! Theo Riddick out of the backfield will have the opportunity to be mismatched on the Bears LB’s. While I believe the Bear will win this game, this extremely quick turnaround for the Bears will hurt the explosiveness of the Bears defense. At home the Lions will score points.

Play’em at your own Risk:

Trey Burton: While Burton is a threat to score whenever the Bears are near the goal line, I am worried about his consistency in this offense. Only four targets two weeks ago in the Lions game, and Sunday night against the Vikings he caught 1 pass which was his only target. Adam Shaheen is questionable with a concussion, but if he’s healthy that hurts Burtons chances of having a big day. Definitely a TE1 in deeper PPR leagues.

Taylor Gabriel/Anthony Miller: One of these guys will have a big day! Which is awesome but determining who will be the smart Flex play week to week between the two is a coin flip. Miller has a better chance to get in the end zone but Gabriel had 3 times more targets then Miller last week. Both are definitely Flex PPR options in deeper leagues.

Bears will be tested this week against the Lions because of how quick of a turnaround it is. If Mitchell Trubisky plays I like the Bears to win this game down the stretch, either way the team will have earned the extra time off to get healthy for the stretch run. And hopefully you’ll be making a run in your leagues playoffs! As always hit me up on Twitter @MarkHespen to discuss all things Bears.
