Giants offensive line

The New York Giants offense is loaded with talent. Odell Beckham and Saquon Barkley carry the load, but Sterling Shepherd and Evan Engram are very talented. Even Russell Shepherd and Rhett Ellison are nice complementary pieces. While Eli Manning is getting older, a big issue for this team is their offensive line.

Despite great rushing stats, all of Saquon Barkley’s yards come on long runs. They rank 1st in open field rank, but rank 26th in overall adjusted line yards. His success is an extreme outlier to what he is being provided.

In pass protection, they rank 26th in sack rate. This comes back to Manning again, who has struggled to move around in the pocket. The combination of lousy line and a slow quarterback is a bad duo.

Next. Giants cornerbacks can be exposed. dark

Then you see that the Chicago Bears rank seventh in adjusted yard line against the run and are fourth in pressure rate against quarterbacks. Can the Giants skill players do just enough to make this a game? Yes. Can the Chicago Bears pass rush do just enough to blow them out? Yes.
