The Chicago Bears head are on the road playing the Giants, and your fantasy football playoffs are beginning. You need a win, the Bears need a win, which players will deliver for you? I’m your Bears fantasy expert.

The Chicago Bears have won five straight games, and I hope your fantasy football team did to so you’re in the playoffs! Or maybe you’re battling to avoid the last place punishment. Either way who do you need to start, and who should you avoid this week?

Start

Defense/Special Teams: This NYG offense is very limited because of Eli Manning. His lack of mobility will mean plenty of chances for Khalil Mack, and Akiem Hicks to get to him. Slowing down rookie sensation Saquon Barkley will be tough, but this Bears defense is 2nd best in the league against the run. Expect this squad to put on a show, and possible score…again, definitely start.

Tarik Cohen: We have seen enough now to know that Cohen is a reliable start. Cohen is now 2nd in the team in receptions and 2nd in targets. While he isn’t getting many carries, and that limits his red zone upside. But his upside in the passing game is worth the start especially in PPR leagues. Definitely a PPR RB2 or flex starter.

Sit

Whoever is playing QB. Chase Daniel had a lot of success against the Lions, but the Giants now have the tap on Daniel. As far as Mitchell Trubisky goes, if he plays he will be limited by his injury. Trubisky is best when he is moving and a threat to run, with this injury the coaching staff will limit that when he comes back to action. While the Giants defense has been bottom 3rd of the league they have talent, and I don’t like either QB as a big fantasy option this week.

Play’em at your own Risk

Jordan Howard: Howard has been a huge disappointment this year. But he is still a threat in the red zone to get carries. He leads the team in rushing yards, attempts, and tds. If all your team needs is a solid 10 points from the RB position to get a win this week stay away from Howard. But if you need someone who will boom or bust? Howard has the upside against a team that gives up 125.5 yards rushing per game. Definitely a RB2 start in deeper leagues.

Taylor Gabriel: He leads the Bears in receptions, receiving yards, and targets. But he Gabriel hasn’t scored a td in this 5 game win streak. He and Cohen are going to see higher usage with an injured Trubisky not pushing the ball down the field as much. Definitely a Flex option in PPR leagues only.

This could be the Jordan Howard game we have all been waiting for. But so much of this game will be determined by who starts at QB. I expect the Bears to win a game close lower scoring game. Bears win 24-20, as always we can debate on Twitter @MarkHespen, and good luck in your fantasy playoffs!
